Success Story Feature

Comfort Ishiaku

Comfort newly moved into Sapele when it dawned on her that she couldn’t rely on her husband’s salary alone. Things didn’t turn out for them as she had hoped despite him being a hardworking man. Realizing this made her quickly think of ways she could earn money to raise the living standard of her family. Fish farming came to mind; she had learned a thing or two about it back in Katsina where she previously relocated from with her two kids to join her husband.

Hannah Williams

Hannah Williams had always nurtured a passion for the fashion industry but because of her humble background she could not afford to pursue that dream. When we encountered Hannah in 2016 at our She stands conference, she was making ends meet by selling noodles by the road side at night to passersby; she put herself at risk everyday staying out late at night trying to sell her wares. Many times she could not rake in enough sales to even purchase the noodles and she would shut down and reopen quite frequently.

After the conference she met with one of our counselors and shared her passion for fashion, because at RUDERF we are committed to supporting women in achieving their dreams, we enrolled her in a fashion school. Hannah was so passionate she learned the skill very fast and began to make beautiful outfits in no time. Today Hannah is a trained fashion designer, with plans to open up a training institute someday to give back to other women who aspire for greatness like her.

Patience Sunday

Patience is a young woman that came to our hub with a desire to acquire skills in fashion and accessories production.

Patience at the time had a part time job in a hotel as a steward where she earned meager income that was not sufficient to support her dreams of returning to school to complete her educational journey.

She needed a free and flexible platform that would allow her work when it was convenient for her and OLEJU entrepreneurship hub was the ideal place.

Our programs are designed to accommodate women so that they can engage in multiple income generation ventures. Patience successfully completed her training and launched her own clothing and accessories production line locally. She is a proud entrepreneur who is on her way to fulfilling her dreams
